never end a poem

never put a period

at the end of a sentence

never go home to an old place

never call your therapist on the phone

or listen to your loved one

when you could see their face

never hide the color of your hair

when you go home to rest

and hitchhike to your friend

when you can’t call a place home

never end a poem

or you won’t go home
