stormy weather

hurricane ida chased me out of new orleans

on friday everyone was takin care

to book their trains get out my many means

from illinois a tornado followed me

behind the train n to the border

they told me but i didn’t see

heat lightning storms across kansas and long island

it kept me up all night

but so pretty i didn’t mind

the flash floods in mississippi hit me hard

soaked me through all my clothes

damn near ruined my guitar

a cloud is hangin here above my head

i gotta call one of these places home

otherwise i know i’ll soon be dead
